Here’s Where Taylor Swift (Probably) Dined During Her Cute Couples Weekend in Carmel

The Internet is hard at work sleuthing out where Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce dined with Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper in Carmel-by-the-Sea

While Taylor Swift’s many fans filled their ears with the first (and second and third) listens of Swift’s newly released — and already record-breaking — album The Tortured Poets Department last weekend, it seems the recording artist spent a quiet couple of days in our Bay Area backyard with some noteworthy friends. Swift and her boyfriend, NFL player Travis Kelce, were apparently on a couples trip with supermodel Gigi Hadid and Academy Awards-nominated actor Bradley Cooper, hanging out in Carmel-by-the-Sea, People reports.

Already, there’s plenty of speculation about where the couples went during Hadid’s pre-birthday weekend (she turned 29 on April 23), and sleuths are pointing to Carmel’s La Bicyclette as the scene of at least one of the foursome’s dinners. The Michelin Guide-recognized bistro opened in 2015, serving French and Italian dishes, alongside wood-fired pizzas. As of now, there’s no confirmation as to whether the rumors are true, at least via the restaurant’s social media.

Thieves hit Emeryville Chevys on final weekend

Many East Bay locals were saddened to hear about the closure of Emeryville’s waterfront Chevys on Monday, April 22, and it seems that the restaurant got quite the sendoff. News blog the E’ville Eye reports that the location was hit by burglars on Sunday night — notably, the night before the restaurant was set to close — and that the target was the restaurant’s alcohol supply. This burglary was in addition to the multiple customers taking “souvenirs” from the restaurant in its last weeks, making for an interesting final day. The news site states that Chevys opened on Monday, as planned, despite the setbacks, but had to turn away customers as of 7 p.m. due to being short on staff and inventory. The restaurant closed by 7:30 p.m.
