There’s a stylish new all-day cafe in Garden Oaks from the team behind Ginger Kale, featuring sculptural furniture, lush greenery, and even a beautiful drive-thru window.

Sunday Press celebrated its grand opening on Friday, October 29 at 3315 Ella Boulevard. The cafe’s menu includes coffee drinks like honey sea salt lattes and healthful food options from açaí bowls to avocado toast.

Sandy Nguyen and Cassie Ghaffar of hospitality group Ordinary Concepts once again turned to Gin Braverman of Gin Design Group for the look of the new cafe (Braverman designed the boho-inspired Ginger Kale as well). Even though Sunday Press is fast-casual, the light-filled space is inviting. Settle into sleek seating at the bar, a four-top table, or a cozy lounge area. The color palette leans into plum, burgundy, and blush, all accented by custom metalwork from Dumptruck Design, warm wood, a concrete counter, and greenery throughout the space. There’s even a small private room that’s available to book for meetings.

Sunday Press’s offerings run from cold-press juice, coffee, tea, and pastries to more substantial entrees. There’s a selection of signature drinks, like charcoal and vanilla matcha lattes. Breakfast options include frittata bites, tacos, and cinnamon sugar waffles, along with taro blueberry chia puddings. There are four different salad options and sandwiches like a chicken gruyere double pesto or a Cuban. Check out the entire menu at Sunday Press below.

Even the drive-thru window is design-y, in case diners would rather grab a lemon kale Caesar salad to-go.

Sunday Press also functions as a boutique, featuring a retail component selling jewelry, plants, and flowers from local vendors, pieces by local artists, jewelry, and CBD skincare lines. In the future, look out for Sunday Press’s own brand of CBD wellness products and baby products.
